Persuasive essays are a big help to people. They get someone to change their mind about something. For example, say a principal decided to not have uniforms at the school, but he read a persuasive essay about kids having uniforms and it changed his mind. Persuasive essays also teach readers facts about issues throughout there writing. Persuasive essays help you change your mind, and they also give you facts about the topic. If you ever have a dilemma about something, read a persuasive essay.
Last week, my teacher made an assignment for the class. The assignment was to look back at our first published writing pieces, and revise them for compound sentences, sentence starters, and dialogue rules. I found some mistakes in my writing. The biggest mistake was my compound sentences. I always had simple sentences and not compound. This assignment made my piece a lot better and more interesting.
